Board Members

Tom Milligan
Non Executive Chairman

Tom has over 25 years' experience in the global insurance market. He has served as a non-executive director of both Lancashire Holdings Ltd. and Map Managing Agency Ltd. From 2005, Tom led Goldman Sachs' non-life insurance principal interests (including Arrow Capital Re and Ariel Re Holdings Ltd.), retiring at the sale of the business in 2014. Prior to this, he worked in various insurance roles in London and Bermuda, starting his career in 1991 with Guy Carpenter & Co Inc.

John Cavanagh
Non Executive Director

John has had a 40-year insurance career in London, the USA and Bermuda. He retired as Global CEO of Willis Re at the end of 2017, where he was responsible for Willis Re’s worldwide operations. Prior to joining Willis in 2009, John was at international specialty reinsurance broker RK Carvill for 21 years, where he was joint CEO. Earlier in his career he was Deputy Managing Director of Minet Re and a Director of the North American reinsurance division at Willis, Faber and Dumas.

Shradha Rughani
COO, Beat

Shradha Rughani joined Beat as the company’s first employee and COO at inception. Prior to Beat, Shradha was Syndicate Manager at Ariel Re Ltd and a Vice President in the Securities Division of Goldman Sachs, Inc.

W H 'Skip' Cooper, CPCU
Vice Chairman and President, AmWINS Group, Inc.

W H 'Skip' Cooper, CPCU, is currently vice chairman of AmWINS and as has served as president of AmWINS since May 2007. With 35 years in the industry, Skip has extensive knowledge of large property account structures and placement management, as well as product research and development. His expertise in customer, client and market relationships has helped drive AmWINS to its position as a leading specialty brokerage and underwriting organisation. Prior to joining AmWINS, Skip had served as executive vice president of CRC Insurance Services, a company he joined in 1985 as its 12th employee. During his time at CRC, Skip formed the Property Department, along with AmRisc Underwriting, and held many leadership positions within the firm. Prior to 1985, he worked in various industry positions including underwriting at Fireman’s Fund and internships at Lloyd's of London. Skip graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Finance.

Bruce Schnitzer
Managing Director and Chairman, Wand Partners

Bruce founded Wand Partners in 1987. Prior to this, Bruce was at Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. where he joined as Chief Financial Officer and served as a member of the Board of Directors. During his 8 years at Marsh & McLennan, Bruce served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Marsh, Inc. Bruce began his career at JP Morgan in 1967 where he was Vice President and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions.

John Struck
Managing Director, Wand Partners

John has been a Managing Director of Wand Partners since he joined the firm in 1995. Prior to this, John held several leadership positions including Chief Financial officer and Director for Heller Financial, and Director at Prudential Bache Securities in the Corporate Finance division. John began his career in 1974 at the General Electric Company, where he served a variety of financial and management positions in the US and abroad.

Joseph E (Jeff) Consolino
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, American Financial Group, Inc (NYSE: AFG)

Joseph E. (Jeff) Consolino became a Director of American Financial Group in December 2012 and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2013. From February 2013 until its acquisition by the Company in November 2016, he served as Chairman of the Board of the Company’s majority-owned subsidiary, National Interstate Corporation. In December 2015, Mr. Consolino was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Board of Neon Capital Limited (formerly Marketform Group, Ltd.), a subsidiary of the Company which operates a syndicate at Lloyd’s of London. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Consolino served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Validus Holdings, Ltd., a Bermuda-based property and casualty (re)insurance company. Mr. Consolino also served as Chief Executive Officer, President and founding Director of PαCRe Ltd., a Bermuda-based underwriter of top-layer property catastrophe (re)insurance during his time as an executive officer of Validus through December 2015, when PαCRe Ltd. ceased operations and returned all capital to its shareholders. Prior to joining Validus in March 2006, Mr. Consolino served as a managing director in Merrill Lynch’s investment banking division. While at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Consolino specialized in insurance company advisory and financing transactions. Until 2015, Mr. Consolino served on the boards of directors of Validus and PαCRe Ltd., has been a member of the Board of Overseers of the School of Risk Management at St John's University and currently serves as a director of AmWINS Group, Inc., a wholesale insurance broker based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Deepon Sen Gupta

Deepon has served as Corporate Strategy Director of Neon since 2016. Prior to joining Neon, Deepon was a investment banker in FIG M&A, specialising in non-life insurance, at Macquarie Capital, Fox-Pitt Kelton and Dresdner Kleinwort.

Paul Rayner
Chief Financial Officer, Beat Capital Partners Limited

Paul joined Syndicate 4242 in April 2018 as Active Underwriter and has since transitioned to Beat’s CFO. Prior to this Paul served as a corporate finance advisor, most recently as Managing Director of GC Securities where he focused on start-ups, M&A, capital raises, structured reinsurance and strategic advisory mandates within the Lloyd’s and global insurance market. Paul began his career at Deloitte in 2000 and is a Fellow of the ICAEW.
